I honestly never anticipated learning to sew. The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 unfortunately forced a lot of businesses to close down, a number of customizers temporarily included. So with some more downtime than usual due to the quarantine and a furlough from my day job, I figured I’d try my hand at it. It has since evolved into bringing some wild ideas to life (like the ‘Detroit Red Wings x Tigers’ crossover above).

As a result, Skubie's Jerseys was born! What began as purchasing my own name & number kits to stitch up my own jerseys eventually saw me take on some customer work and eventually produce my own name & number kits for full customization work.

 

Everybody remembers their first jersey, no matter the sport and whether you played or were a fan. (My first was a Patrik Elias New Jersey Devils home white jersey on Christmas Day at age 7). I hope I can share that type of feeling and general enthusiasm for the hobby with you here.
